Chancellor's Diversity Challenge Fund Grants

The Council on University Community is accepting proposals for the Chancellor’s Diversity Challenge Fund through Tuesday, March 17.

The fund supports initiatives that promote the daily value of diversity in the intellectual life of the campus. Faculty, staff or students are eligible to apply for awards of up to $5,000.

Potential uses for the fund include presentations, workshops, trainings, cultural programs, exhibitions, films or speakers that address issues of diversity; research on issues of diversity; programs to integrate diversity into the classroom or that increase diversity in the academic pipeline; or projects that increase diversity through linkages with the Charlotte community.

Applications Accepted for Graduate Life Fellows

The Graduate School is accepting applications for its 2015-16 Graduate Life Fellows program.

The Graduate Life Fellows’ (GLFs) help build a sense of community within the graduate student population. Coordinating activities and events on or near campus that foster diverse social and academic engagement is one of the most effective strategies used by the GLFs. They also work with incoming graduate students as mentors, offering guidance and first-hand experience with the UNC Charlotte academic system. The GLF program continues to provide engaging opportunities for graduate students to give back to the local Charlotte community via philanthropic efforts.

Additional information and applications are on the Center for Graduate Life website.
