The UNC Charlotte Undergraduate Research Conference (URC) showcases research projects completed by undergraduate students of all levels from all colleges and departments in the University. This year, the conference will take place on Friday, April 25 in the Barnhardt Student Activity Center from 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM.
The work presented ranges from in-class projects to year-long honors theses and everything in between. The type of research varies depending on the discipline, and includes diverse topics such as philosophical analysis to hands-on data collection in a lab or in the field.
Celebrating student success was the focus of an awards ceremony held recently in the offices of the Honors College.
Malin Pereira, executive director of the Honors College, congratulated the recipients, whose "work went beyond their current obligations and connote excellence, high achievement and evidence of potential only beginning to be fulfilled." She also expressed her appreciation to honors faculty, scholarship committee members, program directors and mentors for their contributions in support of their students and the University.
