General Guidelines For Online Tutoring

Things to remember:

1. You MUST be present at your computer during the session.  You may NOT “drop off” your paper via email and expect a response in your email to access at your leisure.
2. Do NOT send any file via attachment.  Use the space provided in the form.
3. Services are first come, first served at the hours listed below.  If you would like to meet with an online tutor for a session at a different time, please call the WRC at 704 687-HELP (704 687-4357) and request an online appointment at a different time.
4. The same rules apply as in a face to face tutoring session:
   1. We will NOT edit your work for you.
   2. We will NOT write your paper for you.
   3. We will NOT make a grade judgment on your paper.
   4. We will NOT work on exams of any kind.
   5. We do NOT proofread; we teach you how to do this yourself.
5. We will send your instructor an email telling him or her that you had a session with us, unless you prefer we did not tell them.  If you would rather we did not notify your instructor, please indicate this on the form as well.
