NOTICE:
The name of the
“Office of General Counsel” has been changed
to the “Office of Legal Affairs,” effective
October 10, 2008. The new name adds clarity and better
reflects the Office’s role in providing services
on legal matters involving or affecting the institution
to the Board of Trustees, the Chancellor, the other
senior administrators of the University, and through
them, to the University’s faculty and staff. The
name change is also intended to make it easier to search
the University’s website to find the Office’s
website and the legal resources available there. The
URL for the Office of Legal Affairs remains the same:
http://www.legal.uncc.edu
The
Office of Legal Affairs is in the process of revising
all references on its website and other materials it
controls. Campus divisions should also make note of
the name change in their materials, including any references
on web pages maintained by those divisions.
