Meeting Minutes - 29 August 01

Attendance:  Sara Hilyard, Jonathan Bradshaw, Charles Johnson, Danielle Swain, Allen Thomas

Meeting Convenes at 1640.

I. News about UNCC.
            A. Chartering Problems still exist, working hard toward resolution after resubmitting charter to SGA.

II. Fundraising with Arnold Air Society
            A.  1st Week of October, UAW race at Lowes Motor Speedway, working concession stands. 
            B.  Sports Service issues of late, having to cancel relationship for remainder of this year.
            C. Operation Christmas Child in December
                        1. Possible “Moore Hall” Competition, using the newspaper publicity as reward.
                        2. Getting early commitments from people will be key to success due to holiday seasons and relating obligations.

III.  Silver Wings Fundraisers
            A.  Concession stand on November 10 at UNCC Drill Classic.

IV.  Associate Member Training
            A. 5 Prospects thus far, goal is 10 total to bring out numbers to 15.
            B. 6-8 week long, starting no later than September 17th.
            C. The training responsibility will be on everyone’s shoulders, planning sessions will be held before the week’s class is to
                 begin.  Everyone will be expected to be at every training session.

            A. Eddie Talley is doing a phenomenal job as web administrator.
            B. Everyone will need to bring a short bio with them to the next meeting so prospects can get to know us a little better.
            C. Everyone  is to bring a favorite quote to place on bio page.
