National Conference |
SICA and its members
participate actively in ASPA's annual National Conference. Planning
is currently underway for the 2001 Conference to be be held March 10-13,
2001 in Newark, NJ. Panel proposals are due by July 1, 2000.
Individual paper proposals will be accepted through August 15, 2000.
An on-line submission form is available through the 2001
Conference web site.

| DMN
Workshop |
| For the past 19 years, SICA
has sponsored an annual workshop on development management issues in association
with the Development Management Network (DMN).
The DMN is an informal association of about
1,000 professionals in the US and around 20 other countries. Members
share a common interest in the management and institutional aspects
of economic, social, and political development. There are no membership
dues, officers or bylaws, and membership is open to anyone interested. |

The DMN's principal activities are workshops,
both the one held in conjunction with ASPA's National Conference and mid-year
meetings, held in Washington DC during the Fall. These workshops
and meetings provide a forum for participatory discussion among practitioners,
scholars, and students. They have paralleled and often helped to
shape the evolution of development management as a sub-field of international
and comparative administration.
Planning for the 2001 Workshop is underway.
