CAPAM Biennial Conference
"Globalisation: Impact on the Public Service"
15 - 18 October 2000
Cape Town, South Africa

CONFERENCE PROGRAMME

Under the title "Globalisation: Impact on the Public Service", delegates from around the world will gather to discuss three themes: Values and Ethics; New Ways of Doing Business; and Leadership in the 21st Century at the fourth CAPAM Biennial Conference.
The Lord Charles Hotel in Somerset West, just outside Cape Town is the site of the CAPAM Biennial Conference.
As is CAPAM practice, a Plenary Session will be devoted to each of the three themes over the three days of the conference. Moreover, three simultaneous seminar sessions, each facilitated to ensure maximum opportunity for discussion, will be devoted to in-depth exchange on each of these three themes.
Once again, the 2000 CAPAM Biennial Conference will also provide an opportunity for Adjudicated Papers presentations in special afternoon sessions. These papers will also focus on the three main themes of the conference.
The three conference themes are described in full below.
As the programme evolves, and Concurrent Seminar sessions are developed, they will be on the CAPAM web site.
A feature of the 2000 CAPAM Biennial Conference will be the presentations by the CAPAM International Awards Programme Finalists which will be integrated into the main programme of the Conference.
