Message from the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs

Welcome to the Niner Nation:

The Division of Student Affairs commits itself to the enhancement of the personal, educational, occupational, and professional development of students.  The University is more than an educational institution.  It is an academic community where faculty, staff, and students work together for the advancement of the University and the outside community.

The Division of Student Affairs consists of the University Center, the Counseling Center, the Dean of Students Office, Housing and Residence Life, Recreational Services, Religious and Spiritual Life, Student Affairs Research, Multicultural Resource Center, Student Activities, the Student Health Center, Student Media, and the Venture Program.  These programs offer support activities to assist all students to complete their educational pursuits.

I encourage all students to also participate in the Student Government Association and the over 250 clubs and organizations on campus.  There will be hundreds of educational, cultural, and social activities throughout the year that students can take advantage of.

I wish you success during the academic year.  If you have any questions, please contact me.

Sincerely,

Dr. Arthur R. Jackson

Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs
