Experience the rich world of contemporary films from China, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Mexico and Russia at the International Film Festival hosted by UNC Charlotte Department of Languages and Culture Studies and the language clubs, March 12 - April 2, 2014.
The films will be introduced by UNC Charlotte faculty members and special guests and followed by discussion. Honored guests are Andrei Fedyashin, Executive Director of Initiative for Russian Culture at American University; Mariette Monpierre, French Caribbean filmmaker, director of Le bonheur d’Elza; Andrea Segre, Italian filmmaker, director of La Prima Neve; Oleg Sulkin, film critic and journalist, member of the Filmmakers Union of Russia and Film Critics Guild of Russia.
The festival and related special events are free and open to the public, and all films are subtitled. Visitor parking is available for a fee. Use the Union Deck for screenings at the Student Union and the East Deck on March 31.
