If you are a U.S. citizen over the age of 18, you have the right to vote and it is important for you as a citizen to exercise that right. However, in order to vote, you must register with the Board of Elections. UNC Charlotte is committed to making sure everyone in our community has access to the materials and information they need to vote in all their elections.

September 24, 2013, is National Voter Registration Day, but you can register at any time before or after that date. Sign up at TurboVote; it's quick and easy.

TurboVote is a non-partisan effort to empower all students with their constitutional right to vote. It’s a helpful one-stop shop for your voter registration needs. TurboVote will send you the forms you need to sign and return to your Board of Elections. They even provide a stamped envelope.

You can then vote at your local polling place or request an absentee ballot. If you would like a mail-in ballot, you can request that as well. If you are already registered, TurboVote will send you a reminder on Election Day.

Everyone is encouraged to take advantage of this free service. No matter who you vote for now and in the future, we hope that you’ll take this opportunity to participate in the democratic process. Your vote counts!

Over 800 UNC Charlotte students and faculty have signed up already. Join them now at TurboVote.
