The 49er Democracy Experience is a non-partisan educational and civic program to encourage students and others in the community to understand and participate in our nation’s democratic process. UNC Charlotte initiated the program in concert with more than a dozen colleges and universities in the Charlotte area. The 49er Democracy Experience presents a series of speakers, panels, forums and volunteer opportunities related to the presidential nominating conventions this summer.

As election day approaches, many more exciting opportunities to engage in the political dialogue will be available to the UNC Charlotte community. Please watch the 49er Democracy Experience website for more information.
