Continuing education courses are now closer to thousands of consumers who work and live around Charlotte’s Center City.

September kicked off the start of UNC Charlotte’s continuing education programs at UNC Charlotte Center City, the University’s new 11-story facility in uptown Charlotte. Offerings include: Professional in Human Resources / Senior Professional in Human Resources Exam Review, Basic Web Design Certificate, Meeting and Event Planning Certificate, Fire and Rescue Management Institute, Organization Development, and Certified Internal Auditor.

The location of UNC Charlotte Center City at Ninth and Brevard streets brings convenience to working professionals.The centrally-located facility is easily accessible by car or public transportation including light rail and buses. Extended Academic Programs offers a wide variety of continuing education professional credits and certificate programs for industries present in the uptown area. These include: accounting, business analysis, business process management, engineering, healthcare, human resources, and project management.

The Continuing Education Registration Center and staff offices are located on-site at UNC Charlotte Center City to be accessible to students and employers. The GMAT and GRE exam prep courses will be offered in the evening, a popular time for those working uptown and planning to apply to graduate school.

Free Information Sessions and Strategy Workshops are offered at Center City throughout the year for prospective students to learn more about the certificate programs and exam prep courses offered.

UNC Charlotte Center City provides more opportunities for companies to provide corporate and custom training for their employees through workshops, lunch and learns, or on-site training. Some organizations located in uptown that have already taken advantage of these programs are: City of Charlotte, Duke Energy, Perficient, and The Shaw Group.

Classroom facilities are designed with the modern student in mind. Each classroom and auditorium features access to electrical ports for laptops and smart phones at each student desk seat. Wireless internet, smart podiums for instructors, and comfortable seating are standard throughout every classroom.
