Every summer, UNC Charlotte Extended Academic Programs offers Camps on Campus, a program of academic enrichment camps for rising grades 1-12. For seven weeks during the summer beginning on June 13 and ending August 5, we host a series of one week camps with five or six camps to choose from each week. Many kids return year after year and make lifelong friends at Camps on Campus. Camps are designed for specific grade ranges so your son or daughter will be amongst kids their own age.

The Cool School series is for rising grades 1-3. We have seven weeks of Cool School again this year – two sections every week of Camps on Campus, one for rising grades 1 & 2, and one for grades 2 & 3. Each day has a reading and writing component focused on that week’s special topic, a math component with problem-solving again inspired by the different themes, as well as science and social studies, visits to the gym, the library, and other labs and classrooms all over campus.

Aspire! is a week-long residential program for rising 11th - 12th graders who want a "sneak preview" of college life. This year, we have six academic strands - Law, Motorsports Engineering, Health, Business, IT and Engineering Design + Advanced Autonomous Robotic Vehicles. During the day, you work with your group; evening activities include advice from the Admissions office about your college application, career advice, scholarship opportunities, and meetings with students and faculty from departments of interest to you. There's also swimming, and other recreational activities, and the (in)famous Talent Show!

UNC Charlotte offers plenty of camps for every age in between covering rising grades 4-10. All camps are designed to be both educational and fun. Topics include writing, theatre, science, musicals, astronomy, IT, engineering, math, and board games, just to name a few. Many camps offer an overnight option that allows kids to stay in a college dorm and experience life as a UNC Charlotte ‘49er.
