Project Description
The Self-Advocacy Synthesis Project at the University of North
Carolina Charlotte is funded by a one-year grant from the U.S. Department of
Education, Office of Special Education Programs. The objectives of the grant
include gathering information on exemplar programs, conducting a comprehensive
review of the literature to identify existing research on self-advocacy
models for students with disabilities, and developing and disseminating
an array of products including a directory of self-advocacy model programs.
