Association of People with Disabilities (AAPD)
AAPD is a non-profit, non-partisan, cross-disability organization whose
goals are unity, leadership and impact. We are 49 million strong - People
with disabilities in America, plus our families and friends: We see the
need for one unifying membership organization to leverage the numbers of
people with disabilities and their families and friends to access economic
and other benefits to form an organization which will be a positive private-sector
force to achieve the goal of full inclusion in American society.
Council
for Disability Rights
On national, state, and local levels, the Council for Disability Rights
advances the rights of people with disabilities. The Council promotes public
policy and legislation, public awareness through education, and provides
information and referral services.
Consortium
for Citizens with Disabilities (CCD)
CCD is a coalition of national disability organizations working together
to advocate for national public policies that ensure the self-determination,
independence, empowerment, integration and inclusion of children and adults
with disabilities in all aspects of society.

This is a community, non-profit organization which emerged from the disability
independent living movement and whose mission has been to create, demonstrate
and encourage resources and model early intervention services which are
non-pathological and empowering. TLG has pioneered clinical and supportive
services, training and research serving families in which one or more members--whether
parent or child--has a disability or medical issue.
VSA Arts
VSA Arts is an international organization that creates learning opportunities
through the arts for people with disabilities. The organization offers arts-based
programs in creative writing, dance, drama, music and the visual arts. Many
of these programs are implemented by an affiliate network that is active
throughout the world.
