Biography:
Peter Schwarz’s research addresses energy and environmental issues,
particularly electricity-pricing research done in conjunction with
Duke Energy Corporation. He has traveled to Israel to lecture on
this topic, and has received a grant from the U.S. Department of
Energy. He currently has a cooperative agreement with the U.S. EPA
for a project on brownfields, properties with actual or perceived
contamination. He also holds a visiting professorship
with the China University of Mining and Technology. Dr. Schwarz holds an appointment as senior
faculty associate,
UNC Charlotte Global Institute of Energy and Environmental Systems. He
joined the Belk College faculty in 1978.
