First Citizens Bank Scholars Medals

In order to foster the advancement and diffusion of knowledge and creative endeavors, the graduate school presents each year a Scholars Medal for excellence in creative activities and research. Full-time faculty members of the University are eligible. Nominations are based on the excellence and importance of contributions in research and creative activities: for example, a scientific discovery, a book, a series of related articles, a novel, sculpture or paintings. The award, which takes the form of a cash prize and a medal, is sponsored by First Citizens Bank.
