Bank of America Awards for Teaching Excellence

Each year, the University honors a faculty member with a special award for excellence in teaching. This award, provided by Bank of America, is based on nominations by students, faculty, and alumni. The deadline for nominations is announced in the early spring. To nominate someone whose teaching deserves this award, write a brief letter nominating that teacher and give supporting reasons. Nominations are submitted to the Bank of America Awards Committee in care of the Office of Academic Affairs (Fifth Floor Reese, 704-687-2224).

The award, which includes a cash prize and a plaque, is presented in the fall at a ceremony and celebration sponsored by the Bank of America to which all faculty members and their guests are invited.
