Faculty Governance

Faculty Council. The chief faculty governance body is the faculty council. It is empowered to conduct the affairs of the UNC Charlotte faculty as described in Article III of the Faculty Constitution (www.provost.uncc.edu/academic_affairs/faculty_governance/faculty_constitution.pdf).

Faculty Executive Committee. The faculty executive committee is responsible for establishing the agenda for Faculty Council and for ensuring that the business of the faculty is handled with dispatch. The Constitution of the Faculty of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte states the policy-making responsibilities and authority, as well as specific consultation responsibilities of the faculty.
