Commencement is held twice a year, at the close of
both the fall and spring semesters. Faculty members are expected to participate
in commencement. A faculty member can be excused from commencement by the dean
of his or her college. Faculty participate in the academic procession in
regalia. Orders to rent or purchase academic regalia are handled by the
Bookstore. Dates for placing orders are announced in the Campus News and
the University Times.
