Unemployment Compensation

All University employees except student workers are eligible for unemployment compensation benefits if loss of employment occurs through no fault of the employee. Voluntary terminations and discharges for cause are not normally covered by unemployment compensation. Eligibility is determined by the North Carolina Employment Security Commission (ESC).
