Sickness and Temporary Absence

Twelve-month faculty members earn sick leave in accordance with the provisions of the State Personnel Manual. Nine-month faculty members earn no sick leave and no annual leave. Sick leave and vacation leave are not provided for nine-month appointees. If you are ill or otherwise unable to meet your classes, contact your chair or dean as far in advance as possible so that provisions can be made for your classes and other responsibilities.
