Private Use of University Name or Resources

The University name, seal, letterhead and all supplies and materials of the University must be used only in the exercise of official responsibilities in behalf of the University. Thus, for example, personal long distance telephone calls must be charged to the individual’s home telephone number, and personal mail must not be metered on University machines. Chapter VI of The Code (www.northcarolina.edu/content.php/legal/policymanual/contents.htm) states that faculty members should not represent themselves as speaking for UNC Charlotte or the University system without authorization.
