Employment Contract

Every part-time faculty member must sign an Offer of Part-Time Faculty Appointment Form in order to teach at the University. The appropriate college dean is responsible for issuing approved offers of appointment, which specify rank/title, term of appointment, salary, teaching assignment, and any other terms and conditions of appointment.

Appointments are for a specified semester, though there are circumstances when a part-time faculty member will be hired for an academic year. For the term of employment, appointments begin on the first class day and end after the last class day of final examinations and the submission of grades to the Registrar's Office.
