Thank you for your interest in the Graduate School at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.  As you research different graduate schools, please take some time to review the myriad of programs available at UNC Charlotte.

Located just 8 miles from Uptown Charlotte in central North Carolina, the University is the only doctoral granting university in an exciting and dynamic urban region of 1.5 million people and has been designated by the UNC Board of Governors as doctoral/research-intensive. Enrollment is expected grow from the current 21,500 students to more than 35,000 over the next 14 years. There are presently more than 4,500 graduate students enrolled in 17 Doctoral level, 60 Master’s level, and 25 Graduate Certificate programs .

The city of Charlotte offers tremendous advantages, too. The second largest banking center in the country and among the fastest growing metropolitan areas in the nation, the area is home to a multitude of professional sporting enterprises: the NASCAR Hall of Fame, Lowe’s Motor Speedway, the Carolina Panthers, the Charlotte Bobcats, the Sting, the Charlotte Knights, the Charlotte Checkers, the Wachovia PGA Championship and more.

Beginning in January 2007, we will offer a Master of Business Administration in Sports Marketing & Management.  This unique curriculum will capitalize on partnerships with local organizations to maximize the educational and professional development of our students.  For more information on the Sport MBA program, visit their website.
