Residency Workshops
The Graduate School is hosting residency workshops to help
people better understand how to establish and maintain domicile in
order to qualify for Residency for Tuition Purposes. Prospective, admitted and enrolled graduate
students, as well as University faculty and staff members, are invited to
attend. Unless noted elsewhere, all workshops will be held on the 2nd Floor of Cato Hall in the Graduate School. Visitors may park in the visitor's section of East Deck 1. Click here to see the campus map.
North Carolina State law governs residency classifications. A brief overview of certain points of the law is located on the Graduate School’s website at http://www.uncc.edu/gradmiss/gs_residency.html. If you want a more
in-depth examination of the law as it pertains to residency, please consult A
Manual to Assist the Public Higher Education Institutions of North Carolina in
the Matter of Student Residence Classification for Tuition Purposes.
A copy of the Manual is on reserve in Atkins Library on the UNC
Charlotte campus and in the Graduate School.
If you have questions about the residency workshops, contact Stephanie LaClair at slaclair@uncc.edu or 704-687-4605.
Important Note: Sessions may be cancelled due to lack of registrants, so it is important that you RSVP.
