Please enter campus from University City Boulevard, at either the main campus entrance or the south entrance. Posted signs will direct you to complimentary parking. General parking will be in the Union Deck, and ADA-accessible parking will be available in an adjacent lot.
8:30 - 9:00 a.m.
Breakfast Check-In
Location: Barnhardt Student Activity Center (Miltimore-Wallis Athletics Training and Academic Center)
Check in, pick up your tickets for the day and meet your hosts for breakfast, Chancellor Phil Dubois and his wife, Lisa Lewis Dubois. Also meet other university leaders, including the College deans, representatives of the Office of Parent and Family Programs and experts associated with campus resources for students.
9:00 - 10:00 a.m.
Chancellor's Breakfast
Location: Barnhardt Student Activity Center (Miltimore-Wallis Athletics Training and Academic Center)
Join Chancellor and Mrs. Dubois for a hearty breakfast, entertainment, give-aways, door prizes and more. Chancellor Dubois will provide an insider's update on the present and future of UNC Charlotte. And don't forget those fabulous door prizes, which will include a semester of resident tuition(*), a laptop computer and more.
10:00 - 11:00 a.m.
Spotlight on UNC Charlotte
Location: VARIOUS
Campus offices give an overview of their services and ways you can support your student. You may attend one presentation from the following:
- Is your student prepared for what happens after college? (presented by University Career Center)
- What does it take for your student to achieve Academic Success? (presented by the University Center for Academic Excellence)
- It's all about being Safe (presented by Police and Public Safety)
- Awesome Advice, Helpful Hints and Inside Info on Student Services at UNC Charlotte (presented by the Dean of Students office)
- Does UNC Charlotte feel like home? (presented by the Counseling Center)

Experience UNC Charlotte (Part I)

"Lights, Camera, Axetion!!" Come watch the Niner Nation pride as UNC Charlotte hosts its inaugural Homecoming Parade! The parade will travel from Lot 6 to the tailgating area (Lot 23). Catch a campus shuttle and tour our new Student Health Center. Consult your check-in packet for tour and shuttle details. These will be rolling activities so you can participate in all or portions.
Noon-2 p.m.
Experience UNC Charlotte (Part II)
Locations: Various
Explore campus!! Come take a tour and learn the inside story of our great campus. Campus tour begins at noon. Student tour guides will lead you on a walking tour of campus. This tour will last approximately one hour. Tours will begin at noon and again at 1 p.m.
Also, be sure to visit the J. Murrey Atkins Library where parents can relax, visit, and check their email over a cup of gourmet coffee and live Carolina folk music. Atkins will have a number of interactive experiences including personal viewing of original, historical interviews from “New South Voices” or taped episodes from “American Experience," “Frontline” and others. Librarians will also be available to walk parents through Atkin’s digital resources. These will be rolling activities so you can participate in all or portions.

Homecoming Tailgate
Location: Lot 23
Come out and enjoy the afternoon with your friends before the big Homecoming game! Show your Niner pride with your student! There will be music, dance performances, Stuff-a-Bear and incredible prizes!
1:00 - 3:00 p.m.
Homecoming Lunch
Location: Barnhardt Student Activity Center (Salons)
Lunch is brought to you by 49er Athletics! Join us in the Barnhardt Student Activity Center Salons, located on the third floor, for a delicious buffet lunch. Eat, drink and visit with other UNC Charlotte family members, or just enjoy catching up with your favorite 49er. (Note: You may come to lunch at any time during the two-hour period; however, please be advised that if you leave the Barnhardt Student Activity Center before the game, you will need to puchase an additional basketball ticket in order to re-enter the facility.)
