Coordinated Fundraising

Because the university encourages a coordinated fundraising approach, the Office of Advancement Services is charged with soliciting private gifts and coordinating the private fundraising activities of all campus entities. Read the directive from Chancellor Dubois for more information.

In order to maintain accurate records, comply with IRS/audit requirements and properly thank donors, the Office of Advancement Services must process all gifts to UNC Charlotte and the UNC Charlotte Foundation. We also manage and provide a number of guidelines and forms for the campus community, including:

• A summary of the steps necessary to process gifts and create funds
• The university's facility naming guidelines and procedures
• The naming proposal form
