Cathy moved from the Office of Academic Affairs to the Office of Institutional Research
in December, 2005 following Provost Lorden’s decision to integrate assessment and planning with institutional research.

As Director of Assessment, Cathy oversees assessment activities within the division of Academic Affairs,
and works with campus constituents to ensure the University’s compliance with
the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS).
Cathy is also actively involved with the division’s strategic planning and annual reporting processes. 
She chairs the Academic Affairs Assessment Team and the Institutional Effectiveness Oversight Committee.

Cathy holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Degree from Appalachian State University,
and a Master of Public Administration Degree from UNC Charlotte.
