Please know that processing times can vary throughout the year. Applications and materials received by the priority deadline are guaranteed to receive a decision by the first day of classes.
- Students applying for our architecture or nursing programs should apply early as these programs have separate application deadlines. You are encouraged to visit their website to gather more information regarding these deadlines.
Step #3 - Submit Transcripts
- Transfer students are required to submit one official transcript from every college or university attended. In order to be considered official, transcripts must arrive in our office sealed in the original envelope.
- A high school transcript is required for all transfer students who have not already earned a bachelor's degree.
- Internationally-educated students must have their foreign credentials translated and evaluated by an accredited credential evaluation service. Transfer applicants must have a "Course by Course Report" completed by the service. Many UNC Charlotte applicants choose World Education Services (WES) as their evaluation service. Please click here for more details on WES. If you choose not to use WES, the evaluation service must be accredited and listed here.
Step #4 - After applying
- The review process will take approximately 4-6 weeks. During this time we encourage you to utilize the Credit Advisor to see how your courses may transfer to UNC Charlotte. If you are admitted to UNC Charlotte you will receive a letter from us with your student ID # and a link to your Transfer Credit Report. Once you receive this letter you will also want to utilize our Admitted Student Checklist for Transfer Students.
