Many of the prerequisite and other “required” courses for each major in the College of Health & Human Services can be completed at a North Carolina Community College.  Listed below are the prerequisite and required courses and their equivalent community college courses.  Note:  Some major prerequisite and required courses are not transferable from the NC community college system.

Completion of the prerequisite and required courses does not guarantee admission to the Upper Division Major.  Each major selects students through a competitive admission process.  Not all students who apply to a Major Upper Division program will be admitted.

In addition to prerequisite and major requirements, all students must complete the University General Education Requirements in order to graduate. Many of the General Education requirements are fulfilled by the above-listed prerequisite and required major courses.  Other equivalent General Education courses are also transferable.
