Taking Screen Shots
with MS One Note
Determine if MS One Note is installed on your computer. If it is installed, the One Note icon will display in the Application Launcher under Microsoft

If One Note is not installed on your computer: Go to the Updates-Installs section of the launcher and open the Microsoft folder. Double click the icon: “Install One Note 2003”. A restart is NOT required, but the One Note application icon will not show up in the Launcher until you either restart or refresh the Application Launcher (View, Refresh from the Application Launcher menu).
Double click the One Note icon to open One Note. You will see information about a tour – it is not necessary to take the tour, so close the tour by clicking the X in the upper left corner of the screen. The important thing is that once you open One Note, a purple “N” icon will display on your status bar. You can go ahead and close One Note completely. As long as the purple note icon is in the status bar, you will be able to capture screen images.
NOTE: Even after you restart your computer, the
One Note icon should continue to display in the status bar. If it does not, just open One Note to
display it.
